What is this and how does it work?

What: A "book club" for men

Purpose: To learn from reading and discussing autobiographies.
Why: Apply to our lives, to help us grow and understand ourselves, other people and the world.

Format:
  • read the book (a different person reads a different book)
  • report on the book (5 - 15 minutes)
    • author's life hardships, how they impacted him and lessons he took away (if any)
  • what you got from the book and how you / others could apply those lessons
  • discussion / Q & A (5 to 15 minutes)
  • there can be multiple reviews per meeting
  • we will break after 90 minutes to 120 minutes (1.5 to 2.0 hours)
  • you can read and report back on whatever book you read
  • you don't need to tell us what you are reading
  • Here is a link to book club etiquette, so you can be prepared to ask questions
Timing:
  • One person provides a review once per quarter (minimum)
  • Meet every 2 weeks
Why "Red and White"? Just the most common colours in my book shelf.
